What is MCT?

MCT stands for ‘Medium Chain Triglycerides’, which are fatty acids derived mainly from coconut oil. MCT’s are shorter in length than most other fats, and can therefore take a shortcut in the body.

We use a trademarked Ashwagandha extract called KSM-66. This is a full spectrum extract with a concentration of 1:10. Our Ashwagandha contains 5.5% Withanolides.

How much should I take?

One scoop is 10g and this is the recommended serving size of MCT-powder. One scoop also includes the daily dose of ashwagandha root exrtact. So go with one scoop a day to not exceed the recommended daily dose of Ashwagandha.

Can I use MCT even if I'm not doing Keto?

Of course, and you should! There are plenty of benefits for you regardless of what diet you’re on. MCT is converted to ketones in the body, and ketones are a powerful source of fuel for everyone.

What is the difference between MCT-oil and MCT-powder?

MCT powder has the same effect as MCT oil but is easier for the stomach to digest. It’s also more practical to mix in your coffee or tea without the need of a mixer. MCT oil on the other hand is easier to use in food such as sallad dressings and more, so it all boils down to how you plan to use it.

What is the difference between coconut oil and MCT?

Regular coconut oil consists of several types of fatty acids with different lengths, but mostly longer chain fatty acids which are absorbed more slowly in the body and can't be used for instant energy.

There are four types of MCT's (medium length fatty acids) in coconut oil. The composition looks like this:

- Caproic acid (C6): <3%
- Caprylic Acid (C8): 6%
- Capric Acid (C10): 9%
- Lauric Acid (C12): +50%

We have extracted C8 (caprylic acid) because it's the most powerful fatty acid thanks to its quick absorption and instant conversion to energy.

Coconut oil has about 6% C8 MCT, while our MCT contains 100% of C8.

    Love this combo!

    I regularly use MCT-powder for energy and this combination with Ashwagandha is just genius. I love how it dissolves so easy and makes my tea creamy. Will definitely be my new life saver!
